Two investigative reporters posted a lengthy story on Salon.com for October 10, 2008, that connects Sarah Palin more closely with the radical successionist Alaskan Independence Party than any association between Barack Obama and Bill Ayers, or Barack Obama and Rev. Jeremiah Wright.
The Alaskan Independence Party, like the Neo-Confederate parties in the South, has deep racist roots, a violent belief in armed rebellion against the evil federal government, and Christian pro-family code that has theocratic goals.
Hopefully Obama surrogates will defuse the coded racism that is sprouting out at McCain-Palin rallies with some of these new revelations, along with the Trooper-Gate report due out tomorrow.
